Margaret Cannon, 85, of Conyers, died on Oct. 10, 2005. She was born in Walton County on Sept. 18, 1920, to the late Edward W. Shelton and the late Maude Carter Shelton. She was preceded in death by her great-grandson, the late Bradley O. Alford. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Al Fernety of Conyers; sisters, Effie Prather and Lillian Hall, both of Monroe; grandchildren, John G. Alford of Walnut Grove and Kenneth D. Atha Jr. of Dacula; 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, at the chapel of Meadows Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Eastview Cemetery. Meadows Funeral Home Inc., Monroe.
