Mary (Tom) Underwood Granade, age 87, of Conyers, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at Horis A. Ward's Olde Town Chapel, with Rev. Mike Wadley and Rev. Steve Powers officiating. Interment will follow at Granade Cemetery in Conyers. A native of Rockdale County, Mrs. Granade retired in 1984 after working in quality control at Rich's Department Stores Inc. She was a member of Rockdale Baptist Church in Conyers and in 1993 was preceded in death by her husband, James Tom Granade. Survivors include sons, Tommy Granade of Conyers, Mr. and Mrs. Marshall (Ann) Granade, Lithonia; daughter Mr. and Mrs. Grover (Mary Helen) Dailey of Conyers; grandchildren, Tammy Abbott, Glenn Granade, Ken Granade, Justin Dailey and Mary Elizabeth Dailey, all of Conyers; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Sara Farmer of Conyers, Helen Barnett of Covington; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends today from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, Olde Town Chapel, 770-483-7208.
