Dan M. Norton, age 89 of Milstead passed away Friday, March 3, 2006. He is preceded in death by wife, Violet Yaw Norton. He is survived by daughter, Debbie and Butch Elder, Conyers; sisters, Frances and James McCullers, LaGrange, Joyce Woods, Covington; grandchildren, Dana and David Hammonds, Conyers; David and Jennifer Elder, McDonough, Daniel Elder, Conyers; three great grandchildren, Madison, Mallory and Dawson Hammonds. Two brothers-in-law, Ronald and Myrtle Yaw, Maryland, Lionel Yaw, Utah; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Norton was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church. He worked for Calloway Mills and the Rockdale County School System, after retirement he managed Reid Stadium. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 6, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Scot Ward's Harry White Chapel with Pastor Mike Morgan officiating; interment will follow at Eastview Cemetery. Family will receive friends today, March 5, 2006. 2:00-6:00 PM. Contributions may be made to Crossroads United Methodist Church 2460 Hwy 138 NE, Conyers, GA 30013.
