Steve Atkinson, of Conyers, passed away, Thursday, October 5, 2006. He is survived by Joyce and his beloved dog, Sweetie Pie; son, Michael Atkinson, Gainesville, GA; granddaughter, Casey Atkinson; grandson, Blake Atkinson; adopted grandson and golf buddy, Derick Ratliff; other loving family members include, Teresa & Randall Ratliff, of Bristol TN, Linda & Frank Whitaker of Bristol TN, and Randy, Angie, & Chase Ratliff of Bristol VA. Steve served in the Armed Forces and was an avid golfer. Family will receive friends Saturday, October 7, 2006 at Scot Ward's Harry White Chapel from 6 to 8 pm. Contributions may be made to the Monastery of the Holy Spirit, 2625 Highway 212, Conyers, GA 30094. Condolences may be submitted on-line at www.ScotWard.com. Cremation services were handled by Scot Ward's Funeral Services – Harry White Chapel, Conyers, 770-483-7216.
