Eunice Pearl Smith, age 76, of Conyers, died Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at Heartland Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 14, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with pastor Scott Richardson and Pastor Cedric Banks officiating. She will lie-in-state at 2:30 PM. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Conyers. She was a homemaker who loved to bake and was a life-long member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. In addition to her work at home, she used her cooking and baking skills as a cafeteria worker at J.H. House Elementary School. She is survived by her son, Walter Thomas Smith, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Tommy Mitcham; granddaughter; Ruth Mitcham; two brothers, Albert and Doss Swann; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Tom Smith, Sr. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-9 PM at Horis A. Ward's Olde Town Chapel.
