Amelia Golucke Rood Brooks of Conyers, Georgia (formerly of Atlanta), died October 30, 2006 at her home. Mrs. Brooks was born Amelia Golucke, in Crawfordville, GA on June 17, 1916. She was the daughter of long time Taliaferro County Superior Court Clerk, Ralph Wesley Golucke and Mary McCord Golucke. A 1937 graduate of the University of Georgia, Mrs. Brooks was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. She continued to be an avid supporter of The University of Georgia. Predeceased by her husbands, Arthur Edward Rood Jr., Robert (Bobby) Faust Brooks, Jr. and her sons, Ralph Edward Rood and Charles Golucke Rood.; she is survived by daughters, Mary Rood Bagwell (John) of Birmingham, AL and Amelia Rood Crockett (David) of Atlanta, GA, step-daughter, Pauline Brooks Simpson (Charlie) of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A lifelong Presbyterian, she was a member of Conyers Presbyterian Church. The family will have visitation at Scot Ward Funeral Services in Conyers, GA on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 from 6-8 in the evening. Services will be held Thursday, November 2, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Crawfordville Presbyterian Church, Crawfordville, GA with burial immediately following at the Crawfordville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Charles Golucke Rood, C.
