BOBBIE Bobbie Jean (Alligood) Palmer, age 76, of McDonough, GA died Friday, August 10, 2007. She was born in Laurens County, GA to the late Susan Ruth Coleman and William McKinley Alligood, Mrs. Palmer was a member of Salem Baptist Church, formerly a member of Jonesboro First Baptist Church. She was a Home Economics teacher who continued to love baking and took great pride in her lovely home and beautiful yard. She was a loving mother, grandmother and devoted friend, a gift to all. Her greatest joy was found in giving, as the many recipients of her generosity can attest. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herman Palmer and brother-in-law, Ray Kitchens. Mrs. Palmer is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Amy (Karl) Hortsmann, Conyers, GA, Pam (Michael) Lister, Wewahitchka, FL; grandchildren, Meleah, Rachel, Micah, and Kate; siblings, Gerrie Kitchens, Dexter, GA, Wickie Alligood, Suwanee, GA; niece, Jackie (Claud) Denney, and nephew, Billy (Candy) Kitchens. Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 13, 2007 at The Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors.
