Mrs. Mamie C. McCart, 91 of Oxford, died January 13, 2007 at Heartland Hospice in Conyers. She was born in Fannin County, Georgia to the late John and Lula Davenport. She was a member of Alcovy United Methodist Church and followed the Liberty Quartet. Surviving are her daughters Bernice McCart, Porterdale, Carolyn McCullough, Lithonia, brothers and sisters in law, Hobert and Minnie Lou Davenport, Covington, Herbert and Mary Jean Davenport, Oxford, Jean Davenport, Social Circle and Ina Davenport, Covington, sisters and brothers in law, Evelyn Bruce, Covington, Rosa Lee and James Byrd, Oxford, Shirley and Frank Harwood, Covington, grandchildren, Tammy Holland, Danetta Huff, Brandi Garmon, great grandchildren, Michael Lantrip, Jr., Kimberly Lantrip, Will Garmon, Jezie Garmon. A funeral service will be held today (Monday) at 2:00 PM from the chapel of J. C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Covington City Cemetery.
