MARTHA Mrs. Martha "Martie" Fair of Covington died Monday, March 12, 2007 from injuries sustained from an automobile accident. Born on September 19, 1939 in Hopkinsville, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Othell Lamont Thomas and Minnie Lou McIntosh Thomas. She was retired from Howco Business Systems and was a member of Belmont Baptist Church and a former member of Grace Baptist Church. Mrs. Fair is survived by her husband Wayne Fair of Covington; daughter and son-in-law Melanie and John Richards of Canton, Ga.; sons and daughters-in-law Michael and Heather Fair of Waleska, Ga., Mark and Angela Fair of Augusta, Ga.; twin sister Meg Davis of Covington; sisters Lill Kakuk and Marie Windham both of Georgetown, Tx., Becky Hale of Texas; grandchildren Andrew Richards, Joshua Richards, Megan Richards, Matthew Richards, Taylor Fair, Clayton Fair, Lexi Fair, Emily Fair, numerous niece and nephews; she was preceded in death by her brother Woody Thomas; sisters Thelma Johnson, Maureen and Christine Thomas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at Belmont Baptist Church with the Rev. Nolan Jackson Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Belmont Baptist Church Building Fund. Wheeler Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements, 770-786-7111.
