Mrs. Lorene Hodges, 81, of Covington, died Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Rockdale Medical Center. Born on April 26, 1926 in Newton Co., she was the daughter of the late Walter H. Smith and Lessie Wilder Smith. Mrs. Hodges was a greeter at Wal-Mart and was a longtime member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. She loved her children and grandchildren and touched not only the lives of her family, but numerous other people that she was associated with. Her survivors include her son Tony Hodges of Covington; two grandchildren Connie Hodges and Stevie Hodges; two great grandchildren Samantha Cronan and Ashly Hodges. Funeral services for Mrs. Hodges will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Nickolich officiating. Interment will be in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Wheeler Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements. 770-786-7111
