Harold Strickland, age 68 of Sparta, formerly of Conyers, passed away Friday, July 4, 2008. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Cannon. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Strickland, Sparta; daughters, Pamela & Don Marion, Loganville, Marie Castleberry, North GA, Kelly & Tommy Sikes, Hawaii; brothers, Donald & Charlene Cannon, Walnut Grove, Micheal & Kristy Cannon, Fayetteville, Allen & Sherry Cannon, McDonough, Billy & Sheryl Cannon, Loganville; parent, Eugene Cannon, Stockbridge; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Strickland was a member of North Minister Baptist Church in Conyers. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 7, 2008 at Scot Ward's Harry White Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Carlisle Driggers & Pastor Neil Cardwell officiating; interment will follow at College Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 672648, Marietta, GA 30006.
