Mr. William "Junior" Jeffries of Covington died at Newton Medical Center, October 26, 2008 at the age of 65. Born in Newton County to the late William Dee Sr. and Gaynelle Brannon Jeffries on March 24, 1943, he was owner of Jeffries Machine Company, Inc. in Covington for over 35 years. Junior was a trustee at Faith Tabernacle in Byron, Ga. and a dedicated Christian man. He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing and working on antique tractors. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is preceded in death by his brother, Danny G. Jeffries. Mr. Jeffries is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Noami Jeffries of Covington; daughters and sons-in-law, Hope and Billy McCullough, Amanda and Wesley Ardiel, Christa Jeffries; son, Mark Jeffries all of Covington; grandchildren, Joseph, Megan and Abigail McCullough, Mayla and Naomi Ardiel and Baby Boy soon to arrive. Funeral Services for Mr. Jeffries will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2008, 11:00 A.M. at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, Covington, with Rev. David Yancey and Rev. Dutch Scott officiating with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
