Mr. Taldmedge "Speedy" Hamlin of Shady Dale, Ga. died September 8, 2008 at Gwinnett Medical Center. Born on October 6, 1924 in Butts Co., Ga. he was the son of the late Robert Freddie Hamlin and Vada Maloy Hamlin. He was a longtime resident of the Oak Hill Community and was retired from Lithonia Lighting. Mr. Hamlin is survived by his sons Dewitt Taldmedge Hamlin Jr. of Covington and Richard Thomas Hamlin of Shady Dale; brother Willie Hamlin of Conyers; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other family and close friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday September 16, 2008 in the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home with interment in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
