Nancy Burnham Hassell, age 77 of Covington, died February 21, 2009. She was preceded in death by husband, Paul Gilbert Hassell. She is survived by son, Paul Hassell, Kennesaw; daughters, Donna & Danny Vaughan, Franklin, TN, Sharon & Kevin Fitzpatrick, Conyers, Sherrie & Tony Williams, Conyers; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters. Mrs. Hassell was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Covington, a long-time member of Fieldstone Country Club and the Womens 18 Hole Club. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church, Covington with Rev. Randy Kanipe officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38111.
