Mr. Marvin Ray Beeny age 88 of Conyers died Wednesday, June 3, 2009. He was born July 27, 1920 in Hopkins County Kentucky to the late Elmer Arter and Anna Belle (Harris) Beeny. He worked in advertising for the Madisonville Messenger and the Charlotte newspapers. Mr. Beeny proudly served our country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church, a devoted husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed playing golf. He is survived by his wife Hazel (Space) Beeny of Conyers; daughter and son-in-law: Terri and Shiv Sibal of Conyers; sister: Doris Thomas of Madisonville, KY; grandchildren: Indra Sibal Palmer of Dothan, AL and Ravi Sibal of Jacksonville, AL. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM at Wheeler Funeral Home on Friday, June 5, 2009. Funeral services for Mr. Beeny will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 6, 2009 in the chapel of the funeral home. Rev. Reese Sanders will officiate the services. Interment will be in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
