CONYERS -- Local musician Mike Kinnebrew will bring Christmas sounds to the area this week.
He will play his annual Christmas Concert at 7 p.m. Friday at Christ Community Church, which is located at 3315 Salem Road in Covington.
Kinnebrew will return home with a full band to play a Christmas show that will include songs from his new CD, "Between the Living and the Dying," that was released in October.
"No matter where I go, Conyers will always be my home and my favorite place to play music," he said. "I can't think of a better place to have my annual Christmas concert and release the new CD."
His longtime friend Ty Rumble will open the show.
This year, Kinnebrew will be playing to benefit Rockdale County's Young Life ministry, a Christian program that is active at Heritage and Salem High schools and it is making a difference in kids' lives.
The cost of the show is $10, and all profits will go directly to Rockdale County Young Life.
