Mar. 5, 1917 - Oct. 25, 2010 Griffin resident Mrs. Edith Natalie Jones Erwin, age 93, passed away Monday, October 25, 2010 at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin, Ga. Mrs. Erwin was born in Atlanta, Ga, daughter of the late George Ashton Jones and the late Edith Idelle Jackson Jones. She lived most of her life in Atlanta and Conyers, Ga. before moving to Griffin, Ga. She taught piano at her home for over 40 years. She was predeceased in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Homer Erwin, son; Homer Carter Erwin and brother, Ashton Orion Jones. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Covington, Ga. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-laws, David Kenneth and Frances Jean Still Erwin, of Social Circle, Ga., Michael Barry and Cathy Folds Erwin of Griffin, Ga.; grandchildren, Vicki Erwin, Sheri Erwin Clark, Michael Erwin and Robert (Bobby) Erwin; great-grandchildren, Jason and Sean Fowler, Kennedy and Natalie Erwin, Dillon, Timothy, and Kadina Erwin, Damian, Chasey, Alyssa, and Hunter Clark; and great-great-grandchildren, Tanner and Tinsley Fowler. Brother and sister in law, George Palmer and Betty Camp Jones; and several nieces and nephews. The family of Edith Erwin would like to extend a special thanks to Brightmoor Nursing and Hospice for their loving care. Memorial service for Mrs. Erwin will be held at 11:00 a. m. Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Zion Baptist Church, 7037 Highway 212 Covington, Ga. 30014 (770) 786-6767. Rev. Reese Sanders will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service in the church auditorium. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Annie Armstrong offering at Zion Baptist Church.
