Joan Kaiser, 84, of Covington passed away on Friday, October 29, 2010. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Conyers with Father Timothy Gallagher serving as celebrant. Interment will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Ridgewood Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL. A native of Chicago, IL, Joan was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, The VFW Ladies Auxiliary and played bridge at the Rockdale Seniors Center and was a member of The Cotton Boll Quilt Guild. She is survived by her children, Sandi (Larry) Kayton of Westchester, IL, Karen Jo (Tim DeSmet, Sr.) of Covington GA, Marvin Kaiser of Lindenhurst, IL; grandchildren, Jason Cossiboon, Sarah Beth Ghozali, Rob Hays, Seth Kayton, Kristina and Tim DeSmet II; great-grandchildren, Nicole Hays, Bailey Bone Cossiboon; brother, John Culton of Portage, WI; sister, Joyce Kolze of Milwaukee, WI and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Marvin E. Kaiser, Sr. and brother Richard Culton. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: St. Pius X Catholic Church, 2621 HWY 20 SE, Conyers, GA 30013 or The Covington VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Horis A.
