Jerry Ray Reid of Covington, GA died Sunday, September 5, 2010 at his residence. He was born on January 22, 1947 in Monroe, GA to George and Flora Mae Brewer Reid. He loved to fish, ride his lawn mower, and cook on the grill. Mr. Reid is survived by daughters: Pamela Brown of Eatonton, GA, Tracie Hyde of Covington, GA; sons: Dwayne Reid of Rutledge, GA, Michael Reid of Conyers, GA; brothers Billy Reid of Covington, GA, Daniel Reid of Monroe, GA, Raymond (Ronnie) Reid of Monroe, GA, Ricky Reid of Houstion, GA; sisters: Barbara Pittman of Covington, GA, Sandra Reid of Covington, GA; 13 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents George and Flora Mae Reid and five brothers and sisters. Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 9, 2010 in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home with Rev. R. Hudson Moody officiating.
