Conyers Former Rockdale County district attorney and Superior Court judge Robert Mumford announced Monday he is a candidate for Rockdale County Superior Court Judgeship in 2012.
The non-partisan election is scheduled for July 31, 2012. The position is currently filled by Judge Sidney L. Nation, Sr.
“I believe my legal, judicial, and legislative experience will give voters confidence in my ability to serve them in this important office,” Mumford said in a prepared statement released late Monday night.

Be serious. We don't need Mumford. Sidney Nation is doing a great job sending a message to our thug population. Mumford, run for something else. If you don't think you can get elected, change parties like you did a few years ago. I would say run under the democrat party banner. They are more easily fooled.

Who are these clowns making comments? Robert Mumford will make an excellent judge! I had the opportunity to meet him and observe him in the courtroom several years ago,and will do everything I can to swing votes his way. He's a gentleman and a breath of fresh air..
