With the advent of the 183rd annual Salem Camp Meeting beginning today, families were turning up Thursday to air out and clean up their cabins, or "tents" as they're known among the faithful, at the Salem Road campgrounds. Recent Salem High School graduate Akin Robinson pressure washes the outside of the Salem Hotel at the campground Thursday. Robinson said he was excited and planning to come to as many events as possible. Camp meeting will get under way with supper at the Salem Hotel at 6 p.m. with worship services beginning at 8 p.m. Services will continue daily at 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. through Friday, July 15.
