James T. "Jim" Arnold of Conyers, GA died Friday, July 8, 2011 at Rockdale Health Care Center. He was born on September 14, 1934 in Porterdale, GA to Johnnie H. and Ruth V. Benedict Arnold. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved to whittle, be outdoors and play slot machines and texas hold'em. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Mr. Arnold is survived by his wife of 32 years Peggy Arnold, son and daughter in law Keith and Joan Arnold of Covington, GA, son Willie White of Conyers, GA, daughter and son in law Connie and Larry Davidson of Oxford, AL, daughters Lynn Norton of Conyers and Darleen Sherrod of Centre, AL, grandchildren Cody, Jamie, Christopher and Eric Arnold, Keeli and Ali Davidson, Adam and Emily Sherrod, Ashley Broadnax, Lane Norton, Cassie Longhart and Sabrina Owensby, Sydney, Lindsey and Brett White and 10 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by mother and father Ruth and Johnnie Arnold and brother Leon Haynes. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home. Interment will be at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 10, 2011 from 10:00-11:00 AM.
