HHS crowns Miss Heritage High School 2011

Heritage High School crowned Miss HHS 2011 Sharnel Young Saturday during the annual Miss Heritage High School Pageant. She is the daughter of the daughter of Simeon and Katrina Young. Twelve contestants participated in a judge's interview, school attire competition and evening gown competition, and the top five also had to compete in a question and answer session. The top five finalists were Brenna Beech, Sharnel Young, Christina Brown, Cairo Umrani and Kallie Rutledge. The other seven contestants were Bliss Borges, Lanna Christy, Matison Lakstigala, Alix Maloney, Jessica Martin, Imani Patterson and Sydney Smith. In addition to Young being named the winner, Beech was the first runner up, Umrani was the second runner up, Brown the third runner up and Rutledge the fourth runner up; Maloney was named Miss Congeniality. Young was crowned by last year's winner Anna Barnes.
