Shooting suspect ID’d in lineup

CONYERS — A man suspected of “shooting up” a house in September has been arrested by the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a man who goes by the street name of “Swag” was placed in a photographic lineup of suspects. He was identified by multiple witnesses as the man who allegedly shot at a house on Fieldstone View on Sept. 16 with an assault-type firearm.

According to the September incident report, the 20-year-old victim told officers that a man known as “Swag” approached him in the garage of his mother’s home and started an argument with him. The victim said the two went outside and were fighting in the backyard where the victim got the better of the suspect.

The victim said “Swag” left but returned later with a rifle and shot several times from the neighbor’s backyard into the garage of the home where the victim had been earlier. The suspect reportedly ran around behind the neighbor’s house and got away.

Samuel Amba Nsunwara, 25, 2580 Fieldstone View Lane, was arrested Nov. 11 and charged with discharge of a firearm on property of another, two counts of aggravated assault and simple assault.

In an unrelated incident, a Conyers man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on Nov. 10 after he allegedly attacked his girlfriend, threatened her with a knife and cut off her T-shirt with the knife.

Conyers Police responded to a call on Woodbridge Drive at about 6 a.m. where a man said his neighbor down the street came over to his house and was acting crazy.

Police went to the suspect’s house where his girlfriend said the suspect had been acting strange and was off his medicine. The woman said the suspect had attacked her as she was sleeping on the couch, held her down and threatened her with a knife.

The suspect eventually let the woman up and she was not injured. She did show police the T-shirt that her boyfriend allegedly cut off her. The knife he reportedly used was on the couch.

Police arrested Mubea Boniface Mburu, 25, of 921 Woodbridge Drive on charges of aggravated assault, criminal trespass and false imprisonment.
