CONYERS -- Three people were held at gunpoint, tied up and robbed in their home at Brandon Glen apartments Thursday morning.
The victims, two men ages 20 and 21, and a woman age 20, told the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office that three black men wearing masks and armed with handguns burst into the apartment shortly before 6 a.m. as the two male residents were leaving.
The 20-year-old male victim told deputies he was going out the front door to go to work when the suspects forced their way into the apartment and pulled semi-automatic pistols from their waistbands. The victim said one of the suspects hit him in the back of the head with his pistol and demanded money.
The victim said the suspects bound all three victims' hands behind their backs with duct tape. One of the suspects took the victim into the bedroom and demanded that he show where the money was. After the victim handed over the money, the suspect then retied the victim's hands with a dog leash.
The other male victim said he was also struck in the head with a pistol by one of the victims and a cell phone was taken from his pocket.
All three victims gave a similar account of the incident to the Sheriff's Office. All three said they had no idea who the suspects were and did not recognize their voices.
Taken in the robbery were a 42-inch flat screen TV, a 32-inch flat screen TV, a silver wedding band, a Sprint cell phone and $280 in cash.
The RCSO asks that anyone with information about the case contact Investigator Tracy Radford at 770-278-8000.

That's a bad place to live, let alone own flat screens. Too much bad traffic through there.

"One of the suspects took the victim into the bedroom and demanded that he show where the money was." Maybe I'm getting synical, but I think it had to be more than $280 that was stolen. Those victims described a fairly professional robbery. I don't think robbers would come with that kind of force and preparation with duct tape for a TV. My theory is that these guys were using this apartment to deal out of and it was a prime target for a robbery. Or maybe the victim owned his own construction company and kept payroll in the apartment but that is unlikely.

Sounds like these people have been there before and knew what they were looking for. Sounds like of "fishy" to me. There seems to be more that needs to be revieled.

Man they hit that house hard! That doesn't sound like normal burglaries. It must have been a dope house or the robbers knew about a stash. Most robbers don't show up and tie folks up like that. They usually wait till the victims aren't home.

What kind of masks were they wearing? We as citizens would like as much detailed information as possible with this kind of crime occurring more regularly.
