Barbara Jean Warner, age 84 of Covington, died Sunday, April 8, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Warner; sons, Michael Spence and Rickey Spence. Mrs. Warner is survived by sister, Sara R. Waites, Jackson; grandchildren, Scott Spence, Conyers, Shawn Spence, Alpharetta, Shane Partain, Watkinsville, Chad Spence; great-grandchildren, Emmy Spence, Austin Spence, Brianna Partain and Skyler Partain. Mrs. Warner was a member of Heritage Hills Baptist Church and an Eastern Star. She was retired from the federal government and a 1944 graduate of Stone Mountain High School. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Scot Ward’s Green Meadow Chapel with Pastor Joe Hughes officiating; interment will follow at Hillandale Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 – 3:00 and 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Condolences may be submitted on-line at www.scotward.com.
