Rockdale Citizen
This young man took to the highway and lost his way home. He's been named Benny, just because and weighs between 30 and 35 pounds. A Beagle-mix, he's already been neutered and is ready for his forever home which he hopes will have a fenced-in back yard to help him to remember not to follow things like rabbits and squirrels. He's up-to-date on his shots. He can be rescued and adopted at Rockdale County Animal Care and Control Shelter at 1506 Rockbridge Road in Conyers. At the Rockdale shelter adoption fees for dogs are $30 and $20 for cats. Spaying or neutering is required for adoption. The shelter is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. The phone number is 770-278-8403. - Staff photo by Sue Ann Kuhn-Smith
Questions to ask before adopting a pet:
-- Can I make a long-term commitment to this pet?
-- Will I be able to spend enough time with a new pet?
-- Am I prepared for the cost a new pet will bring?
-- Which pet is right for my home and my family?
