Marie Hopkins 90th birthday

Marie Hopkins of Lithonia celebrated her 90th birthday on July 13. A celebration was held in her honor on July 21 at Covington First United Methodist Church in the fellowship hall and was hosted by her four children and their spouses: Carol and Harold Ward of Thompson, Harriet and Fred Harwell of Covington, Hal and Carla Hopkins of Conyers and Mark and Kay Hopkins of Kennesaw. Also in attendance were her eight grandchildren and their spouses, and all 15 great-grandchildren. Special guests included her sister, Talitha Martin of Winder, and her brother, Charles Hambrick of Franklin, Tenn. Before the picnic-style lunch, several original poems were presented by Marie's children.
