Karen Turner Hill, born 7/28/1948 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta, passed away Monday, 7/30/2012. Karen is remembered as a loving and cherished wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was selfless and generous, always thinking of others. Her many talents included sewing, embroidery, and cooking, and she shared these talents with her family and friends in many ways. Karen’s family was her pride and joy, and she was the glue, the strength, the support. Karen passed away unexpectedly from a pulmonary embolism Monday evening in her home. God picked a beautiful flower, the sweetest one of them all. Preceding her in death were her parents, Frances and Donnie Turner. Surviving family members include her husband, Andy; daughter, Andra and her husband, Tony; son, Don and his wife, Tara; son, Shane; daughter, Angel and her husband, Jimmy; son, Daniel and his wife, Kristen; her beloved grandchildren, Emily, Amber, Benjamin, Ashley, Katie, Jackson, Drew, Joseph, Samuel; siblings, Annette, Steve and Debra; mother- in-law, Emma; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. A funeral service will be held 11 o’clock, Friday, August 3 in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Wadley officiating. Interment will follow at Hillandale Memorial Park.
