Mrs. Agnes P. Hasty, age 85 of Commerce, formerly of Conyers, died Sunday, August 19, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Glenn Hasty, Sr. and son, John Glenn Hasty, Jr. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Gail Hasty, Oregon; daughter and son-in-law, Lynda Nichols and Bill Hughey, Commerce; sister, Ruth Dalziel, St. Louis, MO; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hasty was a member of Zion Baptist Church. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Zion Baptist Church, 7037 Highway 212 N, Covington, GA with Rev. Reese Sanders officiating; interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Emory Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, c/o Emory University Health Sciences Development, 1440 Clifton Road, Suite 112, Atlanta, GA 30322.
