Mrs. Carrie Rayburn Teasley, age 82 of Conyers, died August 19, 2012. She is survived by husband, Horace Teasley, Conyers; son, Larry & Deborah Teasley, Fayetteville, NC; daughter, Cheryl Teasley, Elberton; son-in-law, Nick Castronova, Conyers; grandchildren, Sage Rogers and husband Dave Kincaid, Athens, Zac Rogers and wife Kate Doughtery, Chicago, IL, Abram Rogers, Athens, Elspeth Rogers, Athens, Magdalena Castronova, Conyers, Isabella Castronova, Conyers. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Teasley Castronova. She is also preceded in death by her 5 siblings and their spouses. In addition to their own 6 children, her mother and father reared 22 other homeless children. In the Rayburn family, there are 12 surviving grandchildren and too many great-grandchildren to count. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Scot Ward’s Green Meadow Chapel. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Smyrna Presbyterian Church, 2920 Hwy. 212 SW, Conyers, GA 30094 with Rev. Mike Sorrell and Rev. James Rayburn officiating. The Parlor will be open at 1:30 p.m. for visitation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Smyrna Presbyterian Church, Medical Benevolence Fund, 2920 Hwy. 212 SW, Conyers, GA 30094.
