Cockman-Gattis Engagement
Cockman -- Gattis
Mr. and Mrs. Walker McGinnis of Huntsville, Ala., and H. Dean Cockman of Alton, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Donessa Dawn Cockman, to Clayton Edward Gattis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Edward Gattis Jr. of Conyers.
The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Huntsville High School. She is a 2002 graduate of the University of Alabama, where she earned a bachelor's degree in marketing and fashion merchandising and a 2011 graduate of Armstrong University in Savannah, where she earned a degree as a registered nurse.
She is employed with St. Joseph/Candler Hospital as an RN.
The future groom is the grandson of Thomas E. Gattis Sr. of Conyers and the late Helen P. Gattis, and the late Dr. Joseph C. and Carolyn M. Brown of Conyers.
He is a 2000 graduate of Heritage High School. He is a 2004 graduate of Auburn University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order.
He is employed with Chalmers and Kubeck.
An October wedding is planned.
