"It sure would be nice for someone to investigate how our county taxes are paying for Cherokee Run Golf Course, especially while other things go unattended in the county. Could it be that a portion of the fees for individuals to golf at Cherokee Run is being underwritten by the county -- if so, this would be a waste of taxpayers dollars, just throwing money to the wind. Also, do we have a county golf course being given an unfair tax status that other businesses in the county are not afforded? Does anyone care to look into county business practices to see that our monies are being used in a way that would benefit the entire community instead of a few golfers?"
Editor's note: Cherokee Run is owned by the city of Conyers.
"But, what if the Mayan calendar is right?"
"We need some forward thinking in Rockdale and Newton County. Five states announced Monday that they will add at least 300 hours of learning time to the calendar in some schools starting in 2013. Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York and Tennessee will take part in the initiative, which is intended to boost student achievement and make U.S. schools more competitive on a global level. A technical and Science High school that is shared by all schools."
"Just ate a Ritz Cracker. I dare you to name something better."
"I am new to Conyers. Can someone tell me the story about the the Big Pace Arrow RV always parked by the Starbucks? There has to be a story behind this. Does he live there?"
