Rockdale Citizen
Rockdale County's outgoing elected officials were honored with a reception at the Board of Commissioners Office Wednesday afternoon. The event, in conjunction with a holiday open house, provided well-wishers an opportunity to thank these officials for their service. Shown here, left to right, are Sheriff Jeff Wigington, who served as sheriff for 16 years; Coroner Dr. Stephen Boyle, who was first elected in 1992; Magistrate Court Judge Rudy Horne, who served 20 years; and Tax Commissioner Day Ray, who also served 20 years. Someone should hang this as a portrait in the county office. Wonder what the caption underneath would read?

How about "Thank you for all your years of service and dedication to Rockdale County" or "Our appreciation for your time, effort and long hours in making our county a better place to live".
