Rockdale Citizen
This young man seems to be sticking his tongue out at the photographer, but he was only trying to smile for the camera. He's an adult Bichon Frise that was dropped off at Animal Control by former owners. A good shampoo and hair cut will make him snowy white and looking like a thoroughbred. He's friendly and good natured and is wondering why it's taking so long for somebody to come and claim him. He can be rescued and adopted at Rockdale County Animal Care and Control Shelter at 1506 Rockbridge Road in Conyers. At the Rockdale shelter adoption fees for dogs are $30 and $20 for cats. Spaying or neutering is required for adoption. The shelter is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. The phone number is 770-278-8403.
Questions to ask before adopting a pet:
-- Can I make a long-term commitment to this pet?
-- Will I be able to spend enough time with a new pet?
-- Am I prepared for the cost a new pet will bring?
-- Which pet is right for my home and my family?
