Mrs. Laura Robinson Ammons, of Conyers, died Saturday, June 30, 2012. Born on December 7, 1919 to Clyde and Estelle Reagin, she spent most of her working career as a sales manager with Stanley Home Products. She was a member of the Gleaner Chapter #347 Order of the Eastern Star and a lifelong member of Turner Hill Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, John L. Robinson and sister, Mildred Wise. She is survived by her loving family who describe her as “their Steel Magnolia”: daughter & son-in-law, Tina & John Snowden; brothers & sisters-in-law, W.J. & Marjorie Reagin, Glen & Louise Reagin, James & Vivian Reagin; granddaughters & their husbands, Tara & Bobby Moon, Traci & Mike Walden, Lori & Floyd McClure; great grandchildren, Crystal Riley, Cody Moon, Garrett & Leyland Walden, Kali & BJ Johnson; great-great grandson, Peyton Riley; numerous nieces & nephews. A funeral service will be held 11 o’clock, Monday, July 2 at Turner Hill Baptist Church with Rev. John Wages and Rev. Nolan Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
