Mrs. Helen Laverne (Polly) Kitchens, age 70 of Covington died on Wednesday, July 4, 2012. She was born on May 1, 1942 in Conyers, GA to Roy Zeb and Ethel Hannah Cagle. She worked as a packer for Mobile Chemical for a number of years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. Mrs. Kitchens is survived by her husband Johnny Kitchens of Covington; daughters and sons-in-law: Mary and Tommy Jentzen of Oxford, Rocky and Shaggy Derifield of Oxford; brother: Bootsie Presley of Covington; sister-in-law: Annette Cagle of Covington; brother-in-law: Lamar Kitchens of Mansfield; grandchildren: Chrystal and Jessie Young, Brandon Derifield, Thomas Derifield; great grandchild: Emalee Young; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; other family and friends. The funeral service for Mrs. Kitchens will be held at 2:00PM, graveside on Sunday, July 8, 2012. Interment will be in Lawnwood Memorial Park in Covington. Rev. Andy Parker will officiate the services. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at the funeral home.
