Joy Farmer Swope, age 84, of Conyers, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012. She began her working career at the Barksdale & Vaughn Law Firm and then retired from Fannie Mae after 20+ years of service. Mrs. Swope was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, M.G. Swope and son, Michael Glenn Swope. Surviving are her daughter, Patricia Swope Manders of Conyers; granddaughter, Julianna Rose Ferrone of Conyers; nieces, Rita Farmer Bryant, Lisa Farmer Hayes, Suzanne Farmer Jeffers and Linda Farmer all of Conyers; several other nieces and nephews through marriage. A funeral service will be held 2 o’clock, Saturday, July 7 in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sodom Cemetery.
