Lois White Hendrix (Baw Baw), 91, passed away July 2, 2012 in McDonough, Georgia. Mrs. Hendrix was born on November 14, 1920 in Monroe, Georgia to the late Henry and Mable (Scarbrough) White. She was a member of Kelley Presbyterian Church where, prior to ill health, she attended faithfully. She was devoted to God and firmly believed in helping and serving others. She graduated from Conyers High School and furthered her education by attending Greenleaf Business College in Atlanta. She worked at the Naval Airbase Key West and retired from the Third Army at Fort McPherson in 1972 as Supervisory Editor of all Third Army Publications. Mrs. Hendrix is survived by her children, Allen Hendrix, Virginia (Dean) Saunders and David (Lori) Hendrix of McDonough. Grandchildren: Bryan (Kristi) Saunders, Kathy (Don) Nabi of McDonough and Rebecca (Billie) Spence of Norman, Oklahoma. Great-grandchildren: Blake Saunders, Dawson Saunders, Grace Saunders of McDonough and Bronwyn Spence of Norman, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Earl Prince who was killed in action during WWII on the island of Okinawa and her second husband William Hoyt Hendrix. A memorial service will be held at Kelley Presbyterian Church, McDonough, Georgia on July 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kelley Presbyterian Church cemetery fund.
