Hubert “ Doc” Latimer age 90 of Covington passed away on July 11, 2012. Doc is predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years Doris Latimer. He is a member of Baptist Tabernacle Church. Doc retired from General Motors after 30 years of service, and he also was a WWII Veteran with the 81st Wildcat Division CoD., 322 Regiment. Doc loved to play gospel music on his mandolin and loved his church. He is survived by his 3 sons; Robert and his wife Delane Latimer, Harold and his wife Denise (Peaches) Latimer, Tim and his wife Sonia Latimer, 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, sisters; Lucile McLeod, and Bobbie Baxter. Funeral service for Doc will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Service Conyers Chapel 1999, Hwy 138 SE. Conyers, GA 30013, at 11:00 A. M. with Rev. Glen Anderson, Rev. Roger Prillhart and Rev. David Moody officiating, interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. The Family will receive friends on Friday, July 13, 2012 from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Advantage Funeral and Cremation Service Conyers Chapel 770-918-8851.
