Ms. Mary Prue Amason Walker, 82, passed peacefully to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, with all of her children at her side. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Heritage Hills Baptist Church, Conyers, at 11:00 a.m. She is the daughter of Mack D. & Johnnie Amason of Cragford, Alabama, and the oldest of 10 children. Mary is survived by her children: Cynthia Walker Kidd, Merrill Walker, Beverly Walker Carlson, Lori Walker Davis, Anita Walker Frizen, and her brother & sisters: Manard Amason, Carol Canady, Shirley Buckhannan, 11 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter. Ms. Walker, a devoted homemaker, and John Harland Co retiree, was one of the first members of Heritage Hills Baptist Church and a long-time caregiver in the Church Nursery. She loved her family and friends, attending grandchildren's activities, gardening, being outdoors, and her Atlanta Braves. There are no words to express the loss we all feel, but we have comfort in knowing that heaven has gained another angel. The family will receive friends Friday, June 8, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Horis A.
