Mr. Terry Whyte, age 69 of Conyers, died Friday, June 8, 2012 after a brief illness. He was born January 12, 1943 in Portland, Maine. He attended Bishop Gibbons High School in Schenectady, NY and then served in the United States Marine Corps from 1960 until 1964. Terry started his career in Portland, ME with Nabisco. He also worked for Ferraro USA as regional sales manager, where he covered the southeast. He retired as vice president of sales for CBA, Inc. in Kenner, LA. He was predeceased by his former wife, MaryAnn (Stevens) Whyte; his son, Sean Whyte; and brother, Timothy J. Whyte. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Lucy E. Whyte; son, Scott J. Whyte; grandson, Jeffry S. Whyte; granddaughter, Cameron Whyte. He is also survived by sister, Susan K. (Whyte) Roux and her husband, Doug; brother, William W. Whyte, III and his wife, Bonnie; 8 nephews and nieces. Terry was a long-time resident of Conyers, GA. He was an avid golfer and longtime member of Honey Creek Golf Club where he was president of the men’s golf association. Services will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Scot Ward’s Green Meadow Chapel. Family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. prior to the service. Private interment will follow.
