Some may have only seen the serious sides of Rockdale County Superior Court Judges David Irwin (left) and Sidney Nation, but the two managed to share a few laughs Thursday at a Rotary Club luncheon honoring Nation for his years of service. Irwin was the keynote speaker for the event. Nation, who has served as both State Court and Superior Court judge and is now Chief Judge of the Rockdale Judicial Circiuit, will retire this year and is not seeking reelection. He was presented a plaque by Rotary Club of Conyers President Wilson Mathews which read, “Your leadership and integrity have established standards which few will match in keeping with the ideals of Rotary: Truth, Fairness, Goodwill, Friendship and Benefit to all concerned.” - Staff photo by Sue Ann Kuhn-Smith

I am so darn happy Judge Nation is retiring. He should have been voted out long ago and the other Judge Irwin is just as bad if not worse! I can only pray Mumford is half way descent but something tells me it's just going to be the same ole same ole in Rockdale County Superior Court...just a bunch of bullies with robes that have the God complex. Sad to see people discriminated, talked down, mocked and treated badly in that Court and citizens say nothing!!!!!
