Joyce M. Orr, age 61 of McDonough, formerly of Lawrenceville, died Thursday, June 28, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, H. T. and Juanita Martin; sister, Cookie Atkins; and beloved cat, Simon. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna Marie and Jody Sexton, Wayne City, IL; grandchildren, Cody Sexton, Kayla Sexton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry and Diane Martin, Stockbridge, Major and Lynn Martin, McDonough; sisters and brothers-in-law, Hester and John Closek, Dacula, Sarah and Larry Wilmot, Jackson, Kay and Wayne Davis, Suwanee, Cheryl and Richard Crowe, Winder; several nieces and nephews; and beloved cat, Muffie. Ms. Orr was an office manager with Reliance Mechanical. She was an avid runner and loved gardening and animals. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 1, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Scot Ward’s Green Meadow Chapel with Mark Watkins and Jamie Watkins officiating; interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Stockbridge.
