Amy Ruth Lockett of Conyers, GA passed away Monday March 5, 2012. She was born on November 4, 1982 in Stockbridge, GA to Mark and Melinda Allen. Amy graduated from Stockbridge High School in 2001 and graduated Cum Laude from Clayton State University in 2006 with a BA in History. She enjoyed painting, sketching, sewing, ping pong, Bible reading, adventure and outdoor sports. She was a member of Jonesboro First Baptist Church and attended Prospect United Methodist Church in Covington with her husband Samuel, who she met through Samuel’s sister Rachel, who was her best friend while in college at Clayton State University. Mrs. Lockett is survived by her husband Samuel Lockett of Conyers, Ga; parents Mark and Melinda Allen of Stockbridge, Ga; grandmother Ruth Camp of Jonesboro, Ga; sister Katie Brown of Richmond Va; brothers Neil Allen of Shelby NC, Jay Allen of Browns Mills, NJ; sister-in-laws Rachel Lockett, Gabrielle Shockley and Jeanie Lockett; brother-in-laws Josh Brown and Daniel Lockett; father and mother-in-law Rev. Lawrence and Cheryl Lockett of McDonough, Ga. She was preceded in death by her infant son Luke William Lockett and grandparents William Camp, Jack Allen, and Madge Allen. Services will be held at 1:00PM Wednesday on March 7, 2012 at Prospect United Methodist Church with Rev. Lawrence Lockett officiating. Interment will be at Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery.
