Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Wyatt Summers of Shady Dale, died March 21, 2012, at Abbey Hospice, at the age of 88. She was born August 19, 1923 in Lexington, GA to the late Pierce Reese and Bessie Bray Colquitt. Mrs. Summers was a great woman who dearly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved to dance, enjoyed word search puzzles, and working in the yard. Mrs. Summers is preceded in death by her husbands, John Carlton Wyatt and Jack Summers, and her son, Johnny Wyatt. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Rev. Edward Lewallen of Shady Dale, Kathy and Donald Miller of Madison; grandchildren, Leigh, Dennis, Pam, Lisa, Valerie, Angie, Darrell, Le Ann, and Christopher; 25 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Blondean Colquitt of Monroe, Dorothy Colquitt of Jersey, Mattie Wyatt of Shady Dale; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and close friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Summers will be held on Friday, March 23, 2:30pm, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Newborn, GA, with Pastor Danny Sorrells and Rev. Ed Lewallen officiating with interment following in Shiloh Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at J. C. Harwell & Sons Funeral Home on Thursday, March 22, from 6 pm until 8pm. J.C.
