Mrs. Gussie L. Harris, age 94 of Conyers, died Thursday, May 17, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel W. Harris; son, Joe L. Harris; grandson, Jared Harris. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William L. and Connie Harris, Conyers; grandchildren, Jason William Harris (Shawna), Janae Riley (Randy), Josh Wendel Harris (Jodie), Jordan O’Neal Harris (Brianna), all of Arkansas and Kent Lyle Harris, Conyers; 4 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Harris was a member of Solid Rock Tabernacle in Alma, AR and attended Smyrna Presbyterian Church in Conyers, GA. Graveside services will be held Monday, May 21, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at Harris Family Cemetery in Dyer, AR with Rev. Harold Gilmore officiating. Family will receive friends Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 1 until 3 p.m. at Scot Ward Funeral Services in Conyers, GA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Smyrna Presbyterian Church Library Fund, 2920 Highway 212 SW, Conyers, GA 30094. Condolences may be submitted on-line at www.scotward.com.
