Marvin Hampton Evans, age 59 of Conyers, died Sunday, September 9, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Leatha G. Evans, Conyers; daughter & son-in-law, Ashley E. & Gary R. Puckett, Covington; mother, Agnes Canup, Conyers; step-sons, Dale Sigman, Conyers, Jimmy Smith, Covington and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Evans was a truck driver for many years and was a long-time member of Highland Park Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Scot Ward’s Green Meadow Chapel with Rev. Mackie Hawkins and Rev. Larry Cheek officiating; interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Condolences may be submitted on-line at www.scotward.com.
