Bettie Lemke Parks, 89, formerly of Atlanta, Ga passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at her place of residence in Covington, Ga. She was born September 28, 1922 in Atlanta, Ga. She was proceeded in death by her husband Charles W. Parks. She is survived by her daughter Carol Parks Richardson of Covington, Ga and her son Charles L. (Butch) Parks of Atlanta, Ga. She is survived by her grandchildren Bunnie Hyde of Conyers, Beth Sharpton (Gary) of Dacula, Kelli Smith (Jonathan) of Covington, Ashley Roth (Jason) of Woodstock, Whitney Parks of Atlanta, Lindsey Parks of Tampa, Fl and Brandon Parks of Jacksonville, Fl. She also is survived by eight great grandchildren, Matt and Kris Hyde, Emily and Kevin Sharpton, Adam and Chloe Smith, and Nathan and Abby Kate Roth, with baby girl Parks due to arrive in November. Bettie was a homemaker most of her long life although she did work over ten years at Nancy’s Hallmark at South Dekalb Mall. She truly loved serving others at Hallmark and we always had the best cards from her. Family will receive friends at Gateway Community Church, 11677 Brown Bridge Rd, Monday, October 1 from 12PM to 2PM with a memorial service following at 2PM.
