COVINGTON — Troy University’s East Atlanta/Covington site will hold a special open house this month.
The institution will hold a Global Open House and Career Chat from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 16 to assist prospective students in the areas of academic strategy for career development, financial assistance and admissions and credit transfers.
The school is located at 1160 Monticello St. in Covington.
A career chat is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a representative from the Georgia Department of Labor.
Also that day, “we will assist in answering admissions, financial aid and transfer credit questions along with any other educational questions. We plan to have refreshments all day and giveaways,” said Selena Medina with the university.
The campus features virtual classrooms, administrative offices, a student lounge and a computer lab.
Those wishing to participate in the open house can register by location online at www.troy.edu/openhouse. The registration deadline is April 12.
Application fees, which are $30 for undergraduate students and $50 for graduate students, will be waived for those who apply for admission to Troy during a Global Open House event at a location or online on April 16.
In addition to the local event, the university will host two virtual open house sessions that day — one at noon and the other at 8 p.m. Registration for a virtual open house session is also available at www.troy.edu/openhouse.
